About Keshoraipatan

Keshoraipatan is a city and a municipality in Bundi district in the Indian state of Rajasthan. As of 2001 India census, Keshoraipatan had a population of 21,119. Males constitute 52% of the population and females 48%. Keshoraipatan has an average literacy rate of 60%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 70%, and female literacy is 48%. In Keshorai patan, 16% of the population is under 6 years of age. The town is 24 km away from Kota city. The town is famous for temple of Keshav Rai Ji Maharaj or Lord Vishnu which lies on bank of the Chambal River. It was built in 1601 by Maharaja Shatru Sal of Bundi. The architecture and sculputures of temple are unique. Mratunjaya Mahadev temple is another important shrine of the town.The temple is one of the oldest temples of Rajasthan.There is an old Jain temple too. On Kartik Poornima, many devotees take bath and do worship and a fair also held there. in there temple of lord hanuman
