It has an average elevation of 299metres (980feet). The climate is similar to Bareilly. Temperature climbs up to mid 39 in summer and goes down to 7 degree C in foggy winter. As of 2001 India census, Khatima had a population of 1,20,487. Males constitute 54% of the population and females 46%.
