Krishnarajpet is located at 1240N 7629E / 12.66N 76.49E / 12.66; 76.49. It has an average elevation of 790metres (2591feet). As of 2001 India census, Krishnarajpet had a population of 22,473. Males constitute 51% of the population and females 49%. Krishnarajpet has an average literacy rate of 70%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 77%, and female literacy is 63%. In Krishnarajpet, 12% of the population is under 6 years of age.
