Lakhnadon is a town and a nagar panchayat in Seoni district in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh. Lakhnadon is located at 2236N 7936E / 22.6N 79.6E / 22.6; 79.6. It has an average elevation of 607metres (1991feet). As of 2001 India census, Lakhnadon had a population of 14,343. Males constitute 52% of the population and females 48%. Lakhnadon has an average literacy rate of 71%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 77%, and female literacy is 64%. In Lakhnadon, 14% of the population is under 6 years of age. This place is also known for Lakhnadon Christian Hospital started by the Christian missionary surgeon Dr D M Mac Donald from Scotland,to provide necessary medical care to the nearby villages and the needy population of the area.
