Lalitpur (Hindi: , Urdu: ) is a city and a municipal board in Lalitpur district in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. It is also district headquarters of Lalitpur district. As of 2001 India census, Lalitpur had a population of 111,810. Males constitute 53% of the population and females 47%. Lalitpur has an average literacy rate of 65%, which is higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 73%, and female literacy is 56%. In Lalitpur, 16% of the population is under 6 years of age.
