Lateri (Hindi: ) is a town and a nagar panchayat in Vidisha district in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh. As of 2001 India census, Lateri had a population of 14,067. Males constitute 53% of the population and females 47%. Lateri has an average literacy rate of 50%, lower than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 59%, and female literacy is 39%. In Lateri, 18% of the population is under 6 years of age.
