Mehatpur Basdehra is a town and a nagar panchayat in Una district in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. It is situated in the PUNJAB region of Indian Subcontinent.It is located on the border of Punjab. It is 11 KM away from district Una. And 6 KM from Nangal. The place is famous for Industrial Area.As of 2001 India census,[1] Mehatpur Basdehra had a population of 8686. Males constitute 54% of the population and females 46%. Mehatpur Basdehra has an average literacy rate of 66%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 70%, and female literacy is 62%.
