Murgod is a village in the southern state of Karnataka, India. It is located in the Saundatti taluk of Belgaum district in Karnataka. As of 2001 India census, Murgod had a population of 11033 with 5537 males and 5496 females. Murgod - "Mooru gudda" (meaning three hills). People's living in this village main occupation is farming. That is totally depend on rain. It is famous for Shri mahanta duradundeshwar math and Shri chidambar devasthana.Every year in the month of december chidambar fair will happen for that people come from so many places.
