Narwana (Hindi: , Punjabi: ) is a city in the Jind district of state Haryana, India. Narwana is nicknamed as the NRW. and according to historical references and the ancestors there are several myths related to existence of city's name. One of them is that it was named on a lake, Nirwana, near Baba Gaibi Sahib Temple. And another one is that people with surname Maur lived in Narwana with a large number of population before and was called as Morwana before and later it was changed to Narwana. Narwana is located at 293700N 760700E / 29.616667N 76.116667E / 29.616667; 76.116667. It has an average elevation of 213metres (702feet). The terrain of Narwana shows great views. Narwana features an atypical version of the humid subtropical climate. Summers are long and extremely hot, from early April to mid-October, with the monsoon season in between.
