About Newasa ( Nevasa )

Nevasa is a city in Nevasa tehsil of Ahmednagar district in the Indian state of Maharashtra. A famous temple of Shani, Shani Shingnapur is located near Sonai in Nevasa Taluka. Saint Dnyaneshwar wrote a dnaneshwari in Newasa beside a pole which is still there. Every year palkhi of dnyaneshwari is taken to Pandharpur during ashadi ekadashi. Ajit borkar, from merck, lives here Moryachinchore is a famous village in Nevasa Taluka. The More dynasty ruled the village for about 2,000 years. A royal temple of the More dynasty is Pohahicha Mahadev. In nevasa there is also a famous village called sukali also known as gundwadi. In gundwadi there is a temple of shakambahri devi. Gund baburao pandharinath is a person from this village.there is Sureshnagar and Handinimgaion is village and there is Trivenishwar Mahadev, Temple, Sant Bhakt Prahlad Maharaj.sureshnagar is Adarsh Gaon Rewarded village.
