About Orai

Orai(Hindi: ) is a city and a municipal board in Jalaun district in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. It is the district headquarters for Jalaun District which is part of Jhansi division. Due to its proximity to industrial city Kanpur, this city has already seen a significant growth in industrial area. Orai has a three star hotel, railway station, three cinema halls and a notable industrial area with the companies of international reputation like Hindustan Unilever limited, oil refinery etc. Orai has been named after a saint (Rishi)Uddalak because he worshipped there and has historical value because of its location, which is between Jhansi, Mahoba and Kalpi.
