About Pulwama ( Panwangam )

Pulwama (Kashmiri: (Devanagari), (Nastaleeq)) known as Panwangam (Sanskrit: ) in antiquity, and later as Pulgam (Sanskrit: ), is a town and a notified area committee in Pulwama district in the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir. It is almost 40 KM away from its summer capital Srinagar. The District has two big colleges, one in Pulwama and the another in Tral.one university namely islamic university is also present in awantipora pulwama.
