Rajula is a city and a municipality in Amreli district in the Indian state of Gujarat. As of the 2001 Indian census, Rajula had a population of appro. more than 80,393. Males constituted 51% of the population and females 49%. Rajula has an average literacy rate of 64%, higher than the national average of 59.5%, with male literacy at 72% and female, 55%. In Rajula, 15% of the population is under 6 years of age. Rajula was a small village protected by darbars garashiya and developed mainly by bania kapol community. most of the educational, cultrual, religious and medical institutions were started and financed by kapol community. Gardens, lake, wells, bathing spots, smashan bhoomi, dharamshalas and gaushalas were initially started by kapol community and now all the communities have joined their hands together and started such constructive activities for the benefit of the citizen.
