Rasra is a city and a municipal board in Ballia district in Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. Rasra is located at 2551N 8351E / 25.85N 83.85E / 25.85; 83.85. It has an average elevation of 55metres (180feet). the Famous Nath Baba Temple is situated here. As of 2001 India census, Rasra had a population of 29,263. Rasra is the ground of saints like SHRI NATH BABA and ROSHAN SHAH BABA and many more. Residents of Rasra worship the NATH BABA in their own unique way using 'Lathi' and it is known as 'lathi pooja' or 'rote pooja'.
