A man searches among Amazonian plant samples for a cure for his wife Izzi’s cancer. In a novel written by Izzi, a Spanish conquistador is commissioned to search for the Fountain of Youth during the Spanish Inquisition. In a third story, an interstellar monk is adrift in space with a mysterious tree.
