Safipur is a town and a nagar panchayat in Unnao district in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. The town's name is derived from the dervesh Makhdum Shah Safi who is buried inside a big Dargah. As of 2001 India census, Safipur had a population of 22,402. Males constitute 52% of the population and females 48%. . In Safipur, 17% of the population is under 6 years of age. Safipur Railway station connects to Unnao and Hardoi/Balamau towns.
