About Shikohabad

Shikohabad is a city and a municipal board in the Firozabad district of the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. The city has been famous since the British Period for its Glass Industry. Shikihabad has one of the oldest Bulb and Electric Tube manufacturing units (Hind Lamps Ltd), established in 1951, which was the largest in Asia at that time the company is now owned by Bajaj Electricals. The vast factory premises also have a residential area with all the modern amenities of a township. This industrial unit has provided a major boost to the business of traders and other service providers in the city.
