Sonkatch is a town and a nagar panchayat in Dewas district in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh. As of 2001 India census, Sonkatch had a population of 15,543. Males constitute 51% of the population and females 49%. Sonkatch has an average literacy rate of 69%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 77%, and female literacy is 61%. In Sonkatch, 15% of the population is under 6 years of age.The town has arranged big hawns at famous Pipleshwar Mahadev temple near Kalisindh river.
