Tiruvuru is a town and Mandal head quarters in Krishna District, Andhra Pradesh, India and is located 74km from Vijayawada. It is a business center for nearly 51 villages around it. Population of the town was around 50,000 as on 2012. It is a historical place also. Sri Krishna Deva Raya has visited this place during his Jaitra yatra(Victory Voyage) of Kondapalli in 1540. 20000 Jains were murdered by Veerasaiva's in olden days.
