Thriprayar is a place in Thrissur District in the state of Kerala, India, located in the middle of Guruvayur - Kodungallur - Ernakulam Highway (NH 17), bears a magnificent temple to Sri Rama which is associated with many interesting legends. The Triprayar temple was originally under the domain of the Zamorin rulers of Kerala. It later came under the possession of the Dutch, the Mysore sultans and the rulers of Cochin.Now it is one of the several temples governed by Cochin devaswom Board.
