Vaijapur (Marathi: ) is a city and a municipal council in Aurangabad district in the Indian state of Maharashtra. Vaijapur is located at 1955N 7444E / 19.92N 74.73E / 19.92; 74.73. Regarding the origin of Vaijapur which was also known as Baizapur, it is related that a certain Kunbi struck upon a lingaI while ploughing his field.
