BIOGRAPHY

Heath Andrew Ledger professionally known as Heath Ledger made his debut as an actor in Ship to Shore (1993). It was in 2000 he gained world-wide recognition as an actor with the film The Patriot. There was no turning back after that and Ledger was considered as a very bankable star. He has had a good career studded with a lot of awards to his credit. His maiden award was the St. Louis Gateway Film Critics Association Awards for Best Actor for Brokeback Mountain which has since been followed by many more. The iconic films in Ledgers career so far are 10 Things I Hate About You (1999), The Patriot (2000), A Knights Tale (2001), Monsters Ball (2001), Lords of Dogtown (2005), Brokeback Mountain (2005), Candy (2006), The Dark Knight (2008), and The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus (2009) to name a few. Ledger son of a French teacher, Sally Ramshaw, and a racing car driver Kim Ledger, was born on 4 April 1979, in Perth, Western Australia. He attended Marys Mount Primary School in Gooseberry Hill and later Guildford Grammar School.
