The Way of the Gun is a 2000 English-language Action Crime film written and directed by Christopher Mcquarrie and produced by Kenneth Kokin under the banner of Artisan Entertainment in collaboration with Aqaba Productions. Two petty if violent criminals kidnap a girl being paid $1m to be a surrogate mother. As the baby is for a gangster the pair's demand for money s several henchmen and assorted other ruthless characters head after them to Mexico. The way of the gun features Ryan Phillippe, Benicio Del Toro, Juliette Lewis, Taye Diggs, Nicky Katt, Scott Wilson and Heidi Van Lier. The music was composed by Joe Kraemer. Cinematography was done by Dick Pope and editing by Stephen Semel. The motion picture has a running time of 119 minutes. It was released on 24th January 2001. The Film was successful at box office. The Way of the Gun was made on a budget of $8 million and it was a super hit at box office gross of $30 million. Distribution rights for the movie were acquired by Artisan Entertainment.
