Fright Night is a 1985 English-language Horror Thriller motion picture written and directed by Tom Holland and produced by Herb Jaffe under the banner of Vistar Films. For young Charley Brewster, nothing could be better than an old horror movie late at night. Two men move in next door, and for Charley with his horror movie experience, there can be no doubt that their strange behavior is explained by the fact that they are a vampire and his undead day guardian. The only one who can help him hunt them down is a washed-up actor, Peter Vincent, who hosts Charley's favorite TV show, Fright Night. It was released on 2nd August 1985 and it received positive reviews from critics when it was released and became successful at box office. Fright Night was made on a budget of $30 million and it was a hit at box office gross of $41 million. Distribution rights for the film were acquired by Columbia Pictures.
