Galaxy Quest is a 1999 English-language Adventure Comedy film written by David Howard and Robert Gordon. The movie is directed by Dean Parisot and produced by Charles Newirth and Mark Johnson under the banner of DreamWorks Pictures in collaboration with Gran Via Productions. The alumni cast of a space opera television series have to play their roles as the real thing when an alien race needs their help. Galaxy quest features Tim Allen in the title role along with an ensemble cast including Sigourney Weaver, Alan Rickman, Tony Shalhoub, Sam Rockwell, Daryl Mitchell and Enrico Colantoni.
