Hercules is a 2014 English-language Action Adventure movie written by Evan Spiliotopoulos and directed by Brett Ratner and produced by Beau Flynn, Brett Ratner and Barry Levine. After twelve arduous labors, and the death of his family, this dark, world-weary soul turned his back on the gods finding his only solace in bloody battle. Hercules features Dwayne Johnson in the lead role along with an ensemble cast including Ian Mcshane, Rufus Sewell, Joseph Fiennes, Peter Mullan, John Hurt and Aksel Hennie. The screenplay is written by Ryan J. Condal and Evan Spiliotopoulos which is inspired from Hercules by Steve Moore. The music was composed by Fernando Vel Zquez. Cinematography was done by Dante Spinotti and editing by Mark Helfrich and Julia Wong. The film has a running time of 98 minutes. It was released on 24th July 2014. Hercules was made on a budget of $100 million and at the box office it grossed only $10 million. Distribution rights for the motion picture were acquired by Paramount Pictures.
