Ilaiyavan is a 2000 Tamil-language Musical Drama movie directed by T. Babu and produced by M. Sivakumar under the banner of Shenbagam Movies. Satyan, a college student, is against the unruly behavior of his co-students. He meets Kausalya and falls in love with her. But a misunderstanding between the two causes friction. Ilaiyavan stars Kausalya in the title role along with Karan, Nandini, Sathyan Sivakumar, Rasheed Ummer, S.n. Lakshmi and Srividya Krishnamurthy in supporting roles. The music was composed by National Award winner Ilaiyaraaja. Cinematography was done by V. Ranga. It was released on 22nd September 2000.
