Jem and the Holograms is a 2015 English-language Adventure Drama movie directed by Jon M. Chu and produced by Scooter Braun, Jason Blum, Jon M. Chu, Brian Goldner, Stephen Davis and Bennett Schneir. As a small-town girl Jerrica lives an unexceptional life until she takes on a secret identity inspired by her music. She becomes Jem: the bold, stunning and absolutely fearless singer that catapults from an underground video sensation to global superstar overnight. But when it ms that she may lose touch with the things that really matter the most, Jerrica and her band of three sisters begin a one-in-a-million journey, discovering that some talents are too special to keep hidden. Jem and the holograms features Aubrey Peeples in the title role along with an ensemble cast including Stefanie Scott, Hayley Kiyoko, Aurora Perrineau, Ryan Guzman, Molly Ringwald and Juliette Lewis. The screenplay is written by Ryan Landels which is inspired from Jem by Christy Marx. The music was composed by Nathan Lanier. Cinematography was done by Alice Brooks and editing by Jillian Moul and Michael Trent. The motion picture has a running time of 118 minutes. It was released on 26th November 2015. Jem and the Holograms was made on a budget of $5 million and at the box office it grossed only $2 million. Distribution rights for the movie were acquired by Universal Pictures.
