Bruce McEwen

Bruce Sherman McEwen (born January 17, 1938) is an American neuroendocrinologist who runs the Harold and Margaret Milliken Hatch Laboratory of Neuroendocrinology at Rockefeller University. He is well-known for his work on the effects of chronic stress, having coined the term allostatic load.
