Catherine Hall

Catherine Hall (born 1946 in Kettering) is a British feminist historian. Her work is focused on the 18th and 19th centuries, and the themes of gender, class, race and empire. She has been elected fellow of British Academy in 2018, and has received an honorary degree from University of York in 2019. She has rejected the Dan David Prize in 2014, out of support of the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions-movement
