Kathrin Romary Beckinsale professionally known as Kate Beckinsale made her debut as an actor in the film Much Ado About Nothing (1993). It was in 2004 she gained recognition as an actor with the film Van Helsing which gave her stardom. There was no turning back after that and Kate at present is considered a very bankable star. She has had a good career studded with a lot of awards to her credit. Her maiden award was the Sitges - Catalan International Film Festival Awards for Best Actress for Shooting Fish which has since been followed by many more. The iconic films in Kates career so far are Much Ado About Nothing (1993), Pearl Harbor (2001), Serendipity (2001), Van Helsing (2004), Snow Angels (2007), Nothing but the Truth (2008), Everybodys Fine (2009), and Total Recall (2012) to name a few. Kathrin Romary Beckinsale, daughter of actors Richard Beckinsale and Judy Loe was born on 26 July 1973, in Chiswick, Borough of Hounslow, London, England. She attended Godolphin and Latymer School, an independent school for girls in Hammersmith, West London.
