Mark Pocan

Mark William Pocan (ˈpoʊkæn; born August 14, 1964) is an American politician and businessman serving as the U.S. Representative for Wisconsins 2nd congressional district since 2013. The district is based in the state capital, Madison. A member of the Democratic Party, Pocan serves as Co-Chair of both the Congressional Progressive Caucus and the Congressional LGBT Equality Caucus. From 1999 to 2013 he served as a member of the Wisconsin State Assembly, representing the 78th district, succeeding Tammy Baldwin there, whom he also replaced in Congress when Baldwin was elected to the Senate.
