Martin Fitzgerald Lawrence professionally known as Martin Lawrence made his debut as an actor in the Whats Happening Now!! (1976). It was in 1989 he gained recognition as an actor with the film Do the Right Thing. There was no turning back after that and Lawrence at present is considered as a very bankable star. He has had a good career studded with a lot of awards to his credit. His maiden award was the NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series for Martin which has since been followed by many more. The iconic films in Lawrences career so far are Do the Right Thing (1989), House Party (1990), Talkin Dirty After Dark (1991), Boomerang (1992), Bad Boys (1995), A Thin Line Between Love and Hate (1996), Big Mommas House (2000), Black Knight (2001), National Security (2003), Bad Boys II (2003), Rebound (2005), Big Mommas House 2 (2006), and Death at a Funeral (2010) to name a few. Martin Fitzgerald Lawrence son of John Lawrence, and Chlora Lawrence was born on April 16, 1965, in Frankfurt, Germany. He attended Eleanor Roosevelt High School and Friendly High School.
