BIOGRAPHY

Neta-Lee Hershlag professionally known as Natalie Portman made her debut as an actor in the film Léon: The Professional (1994). It was in 2006 she gained wider recognition as an actor with the movie V for Vendetta which gave her stardom. There was no turning back after that and Natalie Portman at present is considered a very bankable star. She has had a good career studded with a lot of awards to her credit. Her maiden award was the Awards Circuit Community Awards for Best Actress in a Leading Role for Léon which has since been followed by many more. The iconic films in Natalies career so far are Léon: The Professional (1994), Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace (1999), Closer (2004), V for Vendetta (2006), The Other Boleyn Girl (2008), Black Swan (2010), No Strings Attached (2011), Thor (2011), Thor: The Dark World (2013), Jackie (2016), and Annihilation (2018) to name a few. Portman, daughter of Shelley and Avner Hershlag was born on June 9, 1981, in Jerusalem. She attended Charles E. Smith Jewish Day School in Rockville, Maryland, and the Solomon Schechter Day School of Nassau County. She then attended Harvard University for a bachelors degree in psychology.
