BIOGRAPHY

Russell Ira Crowe professionally known as Russell Crowe made his debut as an actor in Raffertys Rules (1987). It was in 2000 that he gained international recognition as an actor with the movie Gladiator which gave him stardom. He has had a good career studded with a lot of awards to his credit. His maiden award was the Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts Awards for Best Supporting Actor – Cinema for Proof which has since been followed by many more. The iconic films in Crowes career so far are Romper Stomper (1992), L.A. Confidential (1997), The Insider (1999), Gladiator (2000), A Beautiful Mind (2001), Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World (2003), Cinderella Man (2005), 3:10 to Yuma (2007), American Gangster (2007), State of Play (2009), Robin Hood (2010), Les Misérables (2012), Man of Steel (2013), Noah (2014), and The Nice Guys (2016) to name a few. Crowe son of Jocelyn Yvonne and John Alexander Crowe was born on 7 April 1964 in the Wellington suburb of Strathmore Park, New Zealand. He attended Vaucluse Public School, Sydney Boys High School, Auckland Grammar School, and Mount Roskill Grammar School.
