Pinoy Big Brother is a reality show that was aired over the Philippine network ABS-CBN from August 21, 2005 to December 10, 2005. It was the first show produced under a Philippine franchise of the reality series Big Brother.Nene Tamayo of Romblon emerged as the winner of the season, taking home the grand prize worth PHP6 million (approx. $111,000) all-in-all, including the one-million peso cash prize (about $18,000), a house and lot, a Nissan Frontier, an entertainment component system, a Yamaha motorcycle, and a livelihood showcase.
