Shruti Hariharan

Sruthi Hariharan is an Indian film actress and producer from kerala who predominantly appears in Kannada and Malayalam films. After doing theatre and working as a background dancer in films, she began a career in acting. She debuted in the 2012 Malayalam film Cinema Company. Her first break into the Kannada cinema industry came with the film Lucia and then was followed up by her lead performance in Godhi Banna Sadharana Mykattu. She received critical acclaim and recognition for her work in both these films. In 2016, Sruthi Hariharan founded a production house, Kalathmika. The main ideology behind Kalathmika’s inception is to create art that can drive change. The production house is based out of Bengaluru and is currently in the works to produce its (tentative) first feature film Tesla. Two short films Rita and The Last Kannadiga have been produced so far. Both films have an underlying tone that addresses social issues.
