BIOGRAPHY

Sudha Bhuchar (born ) is a British Asian actor and playwright, and founder of the Tamasha Theatre Company. She was born in Tanga, Tanzania and is now based in London.Her career in acting began in 1979 when she saw Tara Arts perform and discovered that they were recruiting. and In 1989 she founded the Tamasha Theatre Company with her friend Kristine Landon-Smith.She has appeared in British TV soap operas EastEnders and Coronation Street, and formerly played the role of Usha Gupta in radio series The Archers.In 2016 she appeared on BBC Radio 4s Great Lives, nominating Indian actress Zohra Sehgal.She won the 2010 First Women Award (Tourism and Leisure) and the 2005 Woman of Achievement Award for Arts and Culture.
