Aathma Bandhuvu is a 1962 Telugu-language Drama film written by Samudrala Jr and directed by P. S. Ramakrishna Rao and produced by Y. Rama Krishna Prasad and C. V. R. Prasad under the banner of Saradhi Studios. Aathma Bandhuvu is the story of Rao Bahadur Chandrasekharam's (SVR) family and an adopted orphan Ranga (NTR) who considers the family as his everything. Chandrasekharam loses all his wealth after a crash in share prices and his sons show their true colors by not standing by him. Ranga is banished from the house but proves his worth when compared to blood relations. Aathma bandhuvu stars N. T. Rama Rao in the title role along with an ensemble cast including Taraka Rama Rao Nandamuri, Savitri Kommareddy, Kannamba, Sharada Devi, Girija and Haranath. The screenplay is written by P. S. Ramakrishna Rao which is inspired from Padikkadha Medhai. The music was composed by K. V. Mahadevan. Cinematography was done by K. S. Prasad and editing by B. Harinarayana. The motion picture has a running time of 158 minutes. It was released on 14th December 1962.
