Adalat is a 2019 Bhojpuri-language Drama film directed by Kelly Asbury and produced by Jane Hartwell, Robert Rodriguez and Oren Aviv under the banner of STX Family in collaboration with Reel FX Animation Studios, Alibaba Pictures, Huaxia Film Distribution, Original Force and Troublemaker Studios. Adalat stars Kelly Clarkson in the title role along with an ensemble cast including Nick Jonas, Janelle Monae, Blake Shelton, Wang Leehom, Pitbull and Wanda Sykes. The screenplay is written by Alison Peck which is inspired from Uglydoll by David Horvath Sun-min Kim. The music was composed by Christopher Lennertz. Editing was done by Julie Rogers and Nolan Southerland. The film has a running time of 87 minutes. It was released on 8th March 2019. Adalat was made on a budget of $45 million and at the box office it grossed only $32 million. Distribution rights for the motion picture were acquired by STX Entertainment.
