Agaya Gangai is a 1982 Tamil-language Drama movie written by Manivannan and directed by Manobala and produced by M. Nachiappan under the banner of Sreeni Enterprises. Murali moves into a house for rent, which is owned by Sumathi's father. Murali falls in love with Sumathi and befriends Selvi, who is the house-maid's daughter. Will Murali succeed in his love?. Agaya gangai features Haja Shareef, Goundamani, Karthik Muthuraman, Suhasini Maniratnam, Kamala Kamesh and Vadivukkarasi. The music was composed by National Award winner Ilaiyaraaja. Cinematography was done by Robert Rajasekaran and editing by R. Bhaskaran. It was released on 17th December 1982. Distribution rights for the film were acquired by Sreeni Enterprises.
