Bowery at Midnight is a 1942 English-language Crime Thriller movie written by Gerald Schnitzer and directed by Wallace Fox and produced by Sam Katzman and Jack Dietz under the banner of Banner Productions. Kindly soup kitchen operator and professor of criminology Karl Wagner uses his soup kitchen as a front for a criminal gang who commit a series of daring robberies and murders. When things get out of hand, Wagner kills his henchmen, who wind up as zombies in the cellar of the soup kitchen. Written by Wheeler Winston Dixon. Bowery at midnight features Bela Lugosi, John Archer, Wanda Mckay, Tom Neal, Vince Barnett, Anna Hope and Bobby Stone. The music was composed by Edward J. Kay. Cinematography was done by Mack Stengler and editing by Carl Pierson. The film has a running time of 60-63 minutes. It was released on 30th October 1942. Distribution rights for the movie were acquired by Monogram Pictures.
