Chicken and Duck Talk is a 1988 Cantonese-language Comedy film directed by Clifton Ko and produced by Ronny Yu and Michael Hui. Old Hui runs a restaurant specializing in roast duck. His secret duck recipe is very tasty, but customers and staff alike have to put up with the filthy shop and Hui's cost-cutting way of doing business. When ''Danny Fried Chicken'' (an American-style fast-food restuarant) opens up across the street, Hui receives a rude shock and is forced to lift his game to compete. He might even have to supply clean chopsticks. Written by Murray Chapman. Chicken and duck talk stars Michael Hui in the lead role along with an ensemble cast including Ricky Hui, Sylvia Chang, Lowell Lo, Lawrence Ng, and Wing-cho Yip. The screenplay is written by Michael Hui and Clifton Ko. The music was composed by Richard Yuen. Cinematography was done by Derek Wan and editing by Wong Yee Shun. It was released on 14th July 1988. Distribution rights for the motion picture were acquired by Hui's Film Production Co.
