Cinema My Darling is a 2016 Kannada-language Drama Comedy movie written by Gaurish Akki and directed by Gaurish Akki and Oliver Hirschbiegel and produced by Bernd Eichinger under the banner of Constantin Film. Four friends Satya an aspiring director, Basava Patil a budding Music Director, Aadarsh a camera man and Vishwa an aspiring actor come together to make a film. A famous dancer Devayani, a girl next door Pallavi, Savita Lakshmi an ex producers daughter and a unknown girl are love interests of the four boys. A thrilling off the camera story of four friends who want to make it big in the Kannada film industry. Directed by Gaurish Akki a veteran TV film journalist, the film revolves around a story of friendship, sacrifices and love for cinema. Cinema my darling features Bruno Ganz in the title role along with an ensemble cast including Alexandra Maria Lara, Corinna Harfouch, Ulrich Matthes, Juliane K Hler, Heino Ferch and Christian Berkel. The screenplay is written by Bernd Eichinger which is inspired from Inside Hitler's Bunker by Joachim Fest Until the Final Hour by Traudl Junge Melissa M ller. The music was composed by Stephan Zacharias. Cinematography was done by Rainer Klausmann and editing by Hans Funck. The movie has a running time of 155 minutes. It was released on 25th March 2016 in German and Russian languages. Distribution rights for the movie were acquired by Constantin Film.
