Daaku Aur Mahatma is a 1977 Hindi-language Action Drama motion picture written by Asha Bhosle, Hemalata, Ravindra Jain, Hasrat Jaipuri, Mahendra Kapoor, Amit Kumar, Mohammad Rafi and Jaspal Singh. The movie is directed by Ravikant Nagaich and produced by Pari A V Mohan. This is about a boy brought up among bandits - can he have a change of heart? It is about rule of law, humanity, sacrifice and bravery. A band of orphans come together helped by a doctor and a policeman to take revenge. Daaku aur mahatma features Rajendra Kumar Tuli in the title role along with an ensemble cast including Reena Roy, Kabir Bedi, Abbas Ali, Yogeeta Bali, V. Gopal and P. Jairaj. The music was composed by Ravindra Jain. It was released on 1st January 1977.
