Dooriyan is a 1979 Hindi-language Drama Family film written by Shanker Shesh and directed by Bhimsain Khurana and produced by Bhimsain Khurana. But their personal ambitions take their lives in different directions, the child is torn apart between the feuding parents who finally separate, only to realize in the end that their dreams and personal ambitions are futile if they cannot keep peace within themselves. Dooriyan features Uttam Kumar in the lead role along with an ensemble cast including Sharmila Tagore, Shreeram Lagoo, Jalal Agha, Sudha Chopra, Sulabha Deshpande and Baby Geeta. The music was composed by National Award winner Jaidev Verma. It was released on 21st May 1979.
