Fire in the Sky is a 1993 English-language Biography Drama film directed by Robert Lieberman and produced by Joe Wizan and Todd Black. This film recreates the strange events which happened on November 5, 1975 in the town Snowflake, Arizona. Travis Walton works as a logger in the White Mountains. When he and his colleagues drive home after work, they encounter a flying saucer. Travis gets out of the truck to learn and is struck by a beam of light from the object. For the next five days, Travis disappears without a trace and his colleagues are accused of murder. When he reappears, first he didn't remember that he was gone, but in time, the terrible memories come back.. Written by Peter W. Simeon. Fire in the sky stars D. B. Sweeney, Robert Patrick, Craig Sheffer, Peter Berg, James Garner, D.b. Sweeney and Natasha Henry. The screenplay is written by Tracy Torm which is inspired from The Walton Experience by Travis Walton. The music was composed by Mark Isham. Cinematography was done by Bill Pope and editing by Steve Mirkovich. The film has a running time of 109 minutes. It was released on 12th March 1993. Fire in the Sky was made on a budget of $15 million and at the box office it grossed only $1 million. Distribution rights for the film were acquired by Paramount Pictures.
