Golanthara Vartha is a 1993 Malayalam-language movie written by Johnson and Sreenivasan. The movie is directed by Sathyan Anthikad and produced by B. Sasikumar under the banner of Mudra Arts. The film revolves around an active social worker, Rameshan Nair. He was leading a happy family life but problems begin when a girl enters his life. Golanthara vartha stars Mammootty in the lead role along with an ensemble cast including Shobana, Sreenivasan, Kanaka Mahalakshmi, K.p.a.c. Lalitha, Sankaradi and Sukumari Bhimsingh. The music was composed by National Award winner Johnson. Cinematography was done by Vipin Mohan and editing by K. Rajagopal. It was released on 23rd December 1993.
