Idanilangal is a 1985 Malayalam-language Drama Family film written by M.t. Vasudevan Nair, M.s. Viswanathan and M. T. Vasudevan Nair. The movie is directed by I.v. Sasi and I. V. Sasi and produced by K. Balachander under the banner of Kavithalayaa Productions. A helpless lady, while trying to defend herself from being molested, commits a crime and loses her home and family. Later she meets Balan, a wise man, who decides to help her. Idanilangal stars Mammootty in the title role along with an ensemble cast including Mohanlal Viswanathan, Johny, Menaka Suresh, Rani Padmini, Seema Sasidaran and Sukumari Bhimsingh. The screenplay is written by M. T. Vasudevan Nair. The music was composed by M. S. Viswanathan. Cinematography was done by N. A. Thara and editing by K. Narayanan. It was released on 23rd August 1985.
