In the shadow of the moon features Buzz Aldrin, Neil Armstrong, Stephen Armstrong, Viola Armstrong, Alan Bean, Eugene Cernan and Sam Rayburn. The music was composed by Philip Sheppard. Cinematography was done by Clive North and editing by David Fairhead. The motion picture has a running time of 100 minutes. It was released on 2nd November 2007 and it received positive reviews from critics when it was released. The motion picture made a box office gross of $2 million. Distribution rights for the film were acquired by Vertigo Films. At the 2007 Sundance Film Festival It won an award for World Cinema - Documentary.
